Tree Pros is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Scavenger Hunt organized by Howard County nonprofit Blossoms of Hope. April 5 through May 5, participants can explore fifteen cherry groves around the county, spot hidden objects, and win prizes. Registration is now open with pick-up times for maps, clues, tools, and tote bags planned for March 26 and 27.
Blossoms of Hope has been beautifying Howard County since 2004 and has been responsible for the planting of an estimated 2,600 trees, primarily Kwanzan cherry trees and more recently also Maryland native Cherokee Brave dogwoods. Through tree sales and other fundraisers, they have also donated some $550,000 towards fighting breast cancer.
The scavenger hunt is described as suitable for “families/couples/roommates/solo adventurists.” And the trees will be in bloom (peak is typically mid- late-April). Cost is $25 per family. You’ll want to sign up before the distribution dates at the end of this week; go to https://www.blossomsofhope.org/scavengerhunt. Hope to see you there!
